I lost a seemingly healthy fish today

big koi, about 9 years old.
No idea what happened , it seemed fine up until today .

What I would like to ask of you all is if you had ONE good broad spectrum multi-purpose med. to keep on had for going the ( slap my hand) shotgun approach what would it be ?
This fish had no obvious signs of anything wrong with it , am at a loss.
Everyone else in the tank other than the " crooked one" appear fine also, hope they STAY that way !

I put some tetra pond fish treatment in the tank along with some koi vital hoping to prevent anymore fatalities , keeping my fingers crossed.

Can't help you, love, wish I could. Just wanted to say so sorry for your loss. No koi here but I lost a 7 yr old goldie last year for no apparent reason as well. He was my baby, a gift from g-son. It's heart-breaking. Praying the rest of your fishies are safe and you get some answers.

blessings,

RE: I lost a seemingly healthy fish today

Early on in my pond experience I had a lovely koi that died without previous symptoms. Found out later that It was blocked/choked on seeds that resembled the food I was using at the time. Now I keep that vine cut away from the pond.

Unexpected things do happen.
