Water lettuce & Hiyacinths

My pond plants did amazingly well this summer. It saddens me that with winter approaching they will freeze and die. I have yet to hear of successful over wintering of these plants. Would love to be able to share with folks in warmer climates but not quite sure how to do that.

Jpowell, post over on the Plant Exchange or the Aquatics page to share WH and WL. I mail out WH in a large baggie with just a small amount of water, maybe a tablespoon or so. Seal and send in a priority mailbox. You can either do it as a plant exchange or send it for postage reimbursement.

I sure hope that you check the legal status of shipping those terribly invasive weed plants before sending them anywhere.....especially to a warmer climate. Both are on the Prohibited plant list in several states.
