oh dear! Tree frogs will they be ok?

West Michigan has frozen several times already this fall. No snow but LOTS of cold rain the last few days 30s to 60 for the next week. I found tree frogs clinging to my windows tonight. Is it all the rain that has brought them out again? Suposed to get to the low 30s tomorrow night. Where do tree frogs go for the winter in W.Mi?

They dig themselves into piled up debris such as old shredded leaves or deep mulch. Compost piles are a favorite spot since they seldom freeze deeply. I have even found them in opened bags of potting soil. Sandy

I am in the process of mulching leaves and will shove them under the hedges and make random piles around the yard and flower gardens for them to use during winter. I also have an old hollow tree stump that I sawed in half and laid down under the deck. Filling those up with a few leaves also. I have old planters buried sideways about half in the ground and they love those. I haven't figured out how to cut 'doors' into the pots without breaking them yet. I don't get to elaborate, but every little bit helps. I also make sure to leave smalls gaps along bottoms of netting when I put it on the pond, so they can come and go as they wish. I have both frogs and toads.
