| So, I'm passing the time until spring cruising pond forums and online pond sellers dreaming about all the things I want to do with the pond when the weather warms up when I came across a contraption made by Laguna called a magnetic water clarifier. They are going anywhere from $10 to $50 on ebay.
It is supposed to reduce lime scale build up on UV lights. Since I just invested a rather large sum of money on a new pressurized filter with an internal UV light, I was wondering if this magnetic clarifier thing will help protect my investment or be just a big old waste of money. As the UV light inside the filter is not easily accessible, I'd like to do anything I can to keep the maintenance needed on the UV light down...including keeping lime scale build up at a minimum. Any input would be very much appreciated. |
