True Lotus (Nelumbo)

Long story short I bought a 6x8 greenhouse and a couple of black 60gal plastic barrels for passive heat. Assuming I keep the temp above 60F year-round is it possible Lotus won't go dormant over the winter?

Don't worry about specifics, I will get a propane heater to supplement if needed, I can get a bigger surface area if it outgrows the barrel, I can supplement sunlight with grow lights, I could add a humidifer if needed etc...

All that is certainly not necessary to grow lotus. There are both temperate and tropical types much like water lilies.
What kind did you want to grow ?? gary

RE: True Lotus (Nelumbo)

Lotus go dormant as part of their life cycle.
