Here it is December 3rd. The temps here broke records after getting to almost 70 degrees! When I got home from work I got the flashlight (since its dark up here at that time) and checked out the pond. THERE WERE 3 FROGS STILL SITTING ON ROCKS!!!! They must of had a wonderful day thinking it was summer again. I was happy to see them.

Sadly, it is supposed to snow here Saturday. Typical New England. Oh, well. Yesterday was a gift.

RE: Happy Surprise at the Pond

Sadly I had to shut my pond down Wednesday. I always wait till the last minute. It snowed Thursday and the top two ponds are frozen over. I always do a frog check to be sure nobodys trying to overwinter in the small ponds that freeze. I dread shutting it down and so look forward to un tenting and starting it up as early as possible in the spring. Sniff sniff night fishies :(
