Here's my goldfish pond. It is ruffly 900g (i think). 3 feet deep at on end and stepping up on the other. The bridge only runs about 4 feet, so structurally is fairly simple. I ended up edging the whole thing in a more "modern" look vs stone edging. This helps tie it to the deck/pergola. I (like many people) have builders remorse... in that i wish i would have built it slightly larger then where i ended up :)

    Beautiful design nevermore.

I don't have a bridge, but a dock that also houses
    the skimmer underneith it.

    these photos are from 2004

Nice! That gives me an idea for "shelves" at least in one area of my pool.

I have a bunch of pond video's that I took
    this summer, here is one...

Also from there you can get to a bunch
of other pond videos that other people
    took.

Here is a link that might be useful: YouTube video

ymaddox, the head guy around here always says, "a pond
is as much work, or as little work, as you want to make it."
In early spring when the trees are dropping the tannins into the pond, there
is naturally more maintenance, note the tea colored
water in the earlier videos from the tannins.

After that the water sharpens up, and the cleaning
of the filters is usually once a week.

The plantings around the pond take care of themselves,
we planted from the get go -- lots of perennial ground covers...they take over,
thus leave no room for weeds to grow.

Just keep everything wet and happy, in the pond and outa
    the pond! :)

will you send me some babies that look just like that...i am so drooling. that pic just screams peace and serenity. i love how you have the i guess ella calls them shelves to seperate, would be great both if you wanted to put a pair together for a certain mate and to put babies in. love the idea to use it for that.
