hey all.
due to massive re-arrangements of the pond yesterday i have decided to take the wood pieces out of the pond that i placed under the iris to keep them nearly out of the water, Now they would be about 4" below the top of the water. whereas previously they were on the surface or just below.
Due to tannin issues they had to go.

the question is will they adjust? i figure they will.but would be pleased to get opinions of others & maybe a few pics of what you do with yours??

RE: iris heights

Your iris will do just fine. They are one plant that is pretty stubborn to kill. i Have seen them as much as two feet underwater. The only way to kill them is trim back underwater and have a hard freeze/winter since the breath through their leaves. Since you dont have winters i think you will never run out of iriss lol!
