| Left to go to my 9:30 Orthopedists appointment ohhh whats that smell ohh think theres a gas leak in the basement wow thats bad the super said he did'nt know what it was but it wasn't our basement. Got up to St Vincents hospital and therer was a crowd in front all abuzz about the smell. Saw my doctor came home and it's all over CNN nasty but now it's over. Amazing how many folks shrugged sniff and just keep going ah well! |

| I guess they figure whatever does not kill you makes you stronger. I heard about it on the news this morning, they never did find out what it was. |

| I read that years ago...the entire city smelled like maple syrup, and they never figured out that one either.. |

| Yep there was a blame of swamp gas from the Jersey Meadowlands whats left of them.....not like any swamp gas I'd ever smelled that usually smells like rotten eggs. |

| Yeah kind of thought that and the Maple Syrup Smell Last Year were both just that. Yuck |

| I thought Jay Leno was pretty funny this week. He said "The smell was coming from a swamp in New Jersey but they couldn't do anything about it because it's a protected area. It's a sacred mob burial ground." heheh
(I can make jokes about N.J. because I was born and raised there.) |

| Let's hope it remains a smelly Leno joke. My daughter lives in the village now, so when the news broke I had a panic attack! :-( LIR |
