where can I get the best weather information on the web? Usually I use the cable weather station but then I have to wait for them to get to my area. Is there a place I can get an instant forcast for my area on the web?

There are lots of weather sites, but many of them are plagued with pop-ups. This is my favorite, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's site. Click on your state to start and then you can zero in on your exact city from there.
Here is a link that might be useful: weather from NOAA

My favorites are weatherunderground.com accuweather.com

| I have been looking up the weather on my computer almost everyday for ten years. Weatherunderground is my favorite. And Accuweather is what we use at the sailing shed computer. Also I use Intellicast for the wind forecasting chart, Which shows speed and direction. NOAA is the official U.S. government , Which I like to read all about info Including History, For example past hurricanes. But I must say That I use the Weather1 software. It is free. The software does not put any bad things on your computer. I have been using it for ten years now. You just put your zip code in the startup location ,Then, It uses weatherunderground to give you all the forecast in a nice little window, Then If you want a voice announces the temp, and also if you want it makes a background picture of the weather map that you choose. | I use weatherunderground for general and for immediate radar I use the NOAA site, and I keep the NOAA map for our best radar scan in my Favorites. When I gave up on weather chanel, I wanted something that would load fast. With my slow hook up NOAA gives me the best close up, fastest. Some of our local TV stations tie to it or accuweather, but they are much slower. I also keep drought moniter in Favorites because it is good for regional trends; I keep a rain gauge in my garden because we have a huge variability in rainfall in our valley and ridge. |

Hi Labrea I forgot that I like the weather channel too. They have the best weather maps that are easy on the eye. one can see the storms coming on the map. A lot of the other weather maps aren't enough info or are too confusing and not easy to read clearly. The weather1 desktop window has the weather channel images. I tried the weather channel desktop for instant forecast but it has Ads. Hopefully by about July 25, The weather will be beautiful and roses blooming. Sam
