| Does anyone have a good recipe for red velvet cake? I am making one next week for someone (it's his favorite) and I've never even had it before. Also, what kind of frosting goes on it?
Thanks for your help - Wendy |

| Isn't it basically a chocolate cake with red food coloring? |

| yes, red food coloring & cream cheese frosting. I used to think they tasted better than plain chocolate with cream cheese frosting, but I don't know why I thought so. They are beautiful cakes, though. |

| I made this for a "foodie" picnic last Fall. It reminded me of a cake my mother made at one time. No cream cheese in the frosting (although I have done that). An exceptional cake, if I do say so myself. |

| Hi Barb! Nice to see you here. I'll have to take a look at your cake recipe, the Limoncello was easy after your help. Carla |

| Hey, Carla! Glad to be of help. My public project went into a hiatus last year, after the Parks Dept. didn't budget for putting a water source in. Figured it out and am going ahead this Spring with trying to finish the project. I was too depressed about the whole thing to read much here. As far as that cake recipe is concerned: double the frosting. Really. |
