| Hi all!
In the good ol' days I could by looking at someones handle here at GW and remember their names. Now there are some I remember and some I know I know but just can't put the 2 together. Am I losing it or does this happen to others here as well? I am aware that my medicines and my disease have caused memory issues but I had no idea that it was this bad! Please say that I am not alone... |

| Carlotta---I also have problems on Facebook----several GW rose folks use different names on FB (I use my real name) I think I have most of our old GW friends straightened out on FB but not all of them----I hope I don't ignore an old GW friend---- --- Florence |

| Florence, I know what you mean! Sometimes I get dozens of "friend" requests on FB, and I am almost positive I don't know who they are. I wish there was a way to know...I like me real name, and I never saw a reason to hide it! My other FB issue is how quickly a current conversation disapears due to games or other stuff...finding a conversation I like is similar to a game of hide and seek! -Rosy Smiles Carlota |

| I have a hard time with facebook, as I usually just want to talk about roses. Carlota, I think we are 'friends' there but honestly, it's hard to know who is who and what is what there. It's hard to have a decent conversation there too. Gean |

| Hi Gean, I believe we are FB friends. When I originally joined I thought, "Oh boy! Another venue to share about roses and gardening" - but FB really isn't all about that is it? Our old fashioned forum is much better for chatting about gardening the FB. So many people post so much odd stuff that the important posts about roses and rose photos seem to disapear into the void so quickly! Here we get to take our time, read and even do a search for a long gone thread that we remember and voila! there it is! :) IMHO, for rosy discussions I'll come here, read, lurk and share. For reconnecting with everyone I ever knew - ever, or playing a game I'll stop by FB. It really is good to see so many friends still here and posting at GW! It's like coming home. | I agree about FB---it is a good tool for keeping in touch with family members and friends all over the world but for good conversation about gardening you can't beat GW-----I just wish they would fix the double printing I can't keep up with all the different sites---- Nice to see you both-- Florence |
