Anyone is the Chicago area?

I'm planning a family trip to my son's in Indiana but thinking of going to Chicago first to catch a Cub's game. We usually fly straight to Indianapolis but were thinking of flying to Midway, then driving down to Indy. We've never flown into Midway before. Would that be better than O'Hare? Closer maybe to Wrigley?

We have been to Wrigley before but are bringing another son for his first trip there. If anyone has any tips for a great but not overly pricey hotel in the area, walking distance to Wrigley, that would be great, too. We will only be there over night.
