For the first time I am going to do something I have always wanted to do but have been too much of a in control freak to handle.
I am leaving on an open vacation.Getting in the car Saturday morning and just going.I have an idea what roads but no timetable or destination other than Smokey Mountain national park.
We are gonna just ramble,gamble,eat anything want and make,well anyway the rest sounds like fun and doable.See ya if or when we get back. |

| Have a good time and try not to get into another wreck this trip. I hope you get to Mt. Mitchell, but remember to take your jacket. It snows up there in July occasionally. We're waiting a few weeks before we go, so let me know how the leaves are when you get back. |

| I'm jealous, sitting here about an hour before dark watching the rain begin :( Hope you two have a great time and that you'll tell us all about it when you get back. Leaving out a detail or two here and there ;-) |

| Sounds exciting. I did this back in 1977. Rode a dirt bike all the across country to California with a friend and camped all the way....no worries, so carefree. It was a wonderful experience. I am going to do it again this spring but I will be driving a car this time. Have fun and stay safe. |
