| I was listening to our public radio station this morning and heard two people that I know within 10 minutes of each other!
The first one was rose expert Jeri Jennings, speaking about US rose history and found roses. Then they aired a multicultural discussion where Queena Kim gave her input -- she is a workmate of mine. How strange is that? Anyone else have recent coincidences they'd like to share? |

| Not recent at all, but a friend & I once drove for an hour across Dallas to get to Prestonwood Mall to cool off at the ice rink after one of our 113 degree summer days. She was from a tiny town in New Mexico, the mall was jammed with like-minded "cool-seekers", & within about a minute of our arrival, someone called her name: In that crush, somebody from the same small town had spotted her! 'nother coincidence now that I think of it: I had sponsored a new real estate agent from the Freesian area of the Netherlands. |

| These are so fun! Y'all's are great. Once I was watching National Geographic Explorer and it was going to be about a girl from London researching bears in Chile [iirc?]. Turns out it was a longtime classmate of mine who'd moved to England for college! A long complicated one made short, hopefully: for reasons I'll skip right now [but good, I swear!], a very few of my high school friends were, um, not dissuaded from believing that a friend of the family I often visited was my boyfriend one semester. A few years later, during college, he asked me if I remembered a girl from my high school that he had met in another state! Redfaced because she had heard [and clearly TOLD] so much, [judging by his grin] I admitted that we had been good friends... BEFORE SHE MOVED TO HONG KONG! Oy... just my luck. |
