It does well up here in zone 4. I was quite surprised by its tolerance for being cut back so hard by winter. It has survived 5 years for me so far. Also, I was sure it would be a sorry plant no-spray (because it reminded me of Honeysweet which kicked the bucket for me when I stopped spraying regularly,) but actually Enchanted Autumn is not bad at all disease-wise.
Folksinger is another good one, although it can really mildew here without fungicides. Still, my Folksinger is over 10 years old and plugging along.

Predfern, do you grow the Bucks Prairie Sunrise or Quietness? They are two of my favorite Bucks (although there are others I really love too). Prairie Sunrise has that English rose look, and Quietness is just plain lovely.

I got Prairie Sunrise several years ago from Sam Kedem. It did fine for a few years and then suddenly died. I do grow Quietness. It is a great rose.
