| Mine has changed also, to 10a... but I don't count on this, all it needs is one night of hard-freeze and it all goes out the window for my garden !! sally |

| Yippee! A map big enough that I can finally see exactly where I am at and READ! I knew I was in zone 6 but could never see that tiny print to know if it was 6a or 6b. This one clearly shows I'm in 6b when I blow it up! Thank you! |

| By color, I seem to be in 11a, but by temperature, it's more 10a. Thank you. Kim |

| Try the interactive map. You can zoom in almost to street level. If you know your latitude and longitude (find it here, http://www.findlatitudeandlongitude.com/find-latitude-and-longitude-fr
om-address.php), you can click on the interactive map and almost pinpoint where you live. My zone has changed--AGAIN (I'm back in 9 after a brief stint in 8)! Not surprising with the extremes of weather we have been experiencing. Melissa |

| About d** time. We have been zone 7 for 25 years while the USDA said zone 6. |

| Oh my heavens. I'm in 6a now. Five blocks to the east is still 5b. Three blocks to the north is still 5b. This just cracks me up! |

| Thanks for the interactive, Tess! Flori, I know it sounds weird but it definitely can happen like that. I have minor zone differences just in my own yard so a few blocks could make a big difference. And think about the advances that have been made in everything. Satellite mapping and weather reporting are so much more detailed now. Like Michael said, it's about time they used those advances to update this map. I have no idea how long ago those original maps were made but I can't help but think this new one would be more accurate. |

| Melissa, the interactive map is the coolest thing!!! |
|
| This is great! I've known the books were wrong since I started gardening, as my experiences rarely match my supposed zone (5b). This has us in 6b, which is much closer to reality at the present time. |
