I thought it was Nidia too at first, but I contacted both the supplier to Trader Joes and Poulsen Roser A/S and they confirmed the rose is Gigi. They said Nidia wasn't sold very much in the U.S. and the supplier no longer grows it. They only grow Gigi. Here is a picture of Gigi that the Poulsen Roser A/S provided.

And here is a photo of my Gigi, split into two pots. I agree, what a deal! I purchased it in August and it is now planted in the ground, still blooming. As per the Poulsen Roser A/S website, it is a late bloomer.

Oh cool. I found one a couple months ago at SaveMart. I also thought it was NIDIA. Good to know the real ID on it now. And mine looks exactly like yours Jasminerose, with that more burgundy color.

Yep -- you've definitely nailed it -- Gigi it is.

BTW, I was also at Home Depot and they are selling Chihuly for $10 as a bareroot. Another good deal for stripes lovers.
HD also had Scentimental, but I never recommend that rose -- one of the only stripes I do not like.

OH I hope they sell Chihuly here in WA at the box store, that would be a find! Got Marmalade Skies there last year, but they wanted full nursery price. I got it anyway.
BTW- your Gigi is SO cute! I hope she continues to do well and bring you joy.

Just bought one of those as well at Trader Joe's, I hope it survives the winter. I don't know if I should keep it indoors over the winter or let it chill outside and get back to true rose conditions, protected of course...!
