In case anyone is interested, Own Root St. Patrick and Ebb Tide roses on Sale 50% off at Michigan Bulb if this key code is used:

083940523

Note: St.Patrick Rose is named by Michigan Bulb as Shamrock Rose. Other roses will also be 50% off. This sale will be good thru 1/31/14.

I bought some own root roses from them last year and they were not bad. The bands were small but healthy and quickly took off in my garden.

They also have a lot of interesting clematis and passion vine. I was looking on there the other day. Thanks for the tip! I had St. Patrick and loved it, but it died last summer.

Kousa -- I'm curious how you determined that "Shamrock" rose was actually St. Patrick -- their website doesn't give any indication of that, or even of any code name.

This is the decription on Michigan Bulb under Product Details:

Botanical Name: Rosa x 'St. Patrick' (cv. WEKamanda) Pat.#9,591

I'm glad to hear that you were pleased with your order, Kousa. Michigan Bulb hasn't always had the best reputation. They do have an interesting plant list though!
