Dear Garden Web, does anyone know what this rose might be? it was my friend's grandmother's, does not have a strong smell, and it doesn't seem to do well in the heat of Tennessee. Thank you!

Petrichor7 - there are so many pink roses, we need a few more clues: Pls post a picture of the entire bush. Also, does it re-bloom all Summer & Fall, or does it only bloom in the Spring? Jackie
|
My guess would be QUEEN ELIZABETH.

Dear Beth, I think you are right about it being queen elizabeth. It blooms summer and fall and has nice hips and it was a tall bush. It also would have been well known. I am astonished you could identify it from one picture. I am so glad I asked the experts! Thank you!

Good call, Beth, that's what I was thinking. The shape is classic QE as is the bud shape. The color isn't too far different than what it traditionally looks like here. Kim

I agree, QE.
