Wow--what a contrast. Having grown up in the north, I've seen many a view out the window that looked like yours (and has its own beauty while it is "untouched"), but the rose blooming indoors almost seems like magic--some summer sun glowing in there also!

Wonderful! You must show us those beautiful babies next summer in the garden.

What a beautiful color your rose has. What is its parentage?

I don't know the type. It was just a big beautiful bush that caught my eye last summer, so I got a clipping. It smells very nice too. :)

I love it! I grew up in Buffalo, NY and your view looks alot like mine did...anything blooming through that mess of snow brightens a day! Really nice color on that bloom...maybe someone can ID it? I have a tiny Rouletti plant in my greenhouse that hasn't stopped blooming yet either. Its the only one doing it, and it always surprises me when everything else is pretty much dorment :)

The burgundy stems and also the orange flower color makes me think of Lady Emma Hamilton.
Love this rose. Does it smell strongly of a roses and lemons? She's also not very thorny. If the red stems don't fade, and some flowers are edged in scarlet when they fade- I really would put money on LEH.

It could be a Lady Emma Hamilton. The burgundy stem photo is from a different variety. I see pink, orange and yellow. It does have a strong scent that I suppose could be described as lemony. Here are some fully bloomed pictures from just now. The bloom of course is smaller that it will be on a full grown rose.
