It's called Fourth of July. I think I saw one in the JP roses catalog. I've browsed so many this winter I may be wrong. But you can go to their website to confirm.

I am going to suggest pink Don Juan, it has big, beautiful rich pink blooms that smell wonderful and has been very healthy in my hot and humid Texas climate. I got mine from Chamblees last spring. It bloomed all summer and the blooms stayed vibrant in the heat, it also can handle a little bit of shade as mine stops getting direct sun around 3 pm.

Wow, that is such a pretty rose. How is it for disease resistance and does it bloom all summer long? Thx for posting your photo. I love to see what roses other people grow.

It bloomed all summer and I did dead head, it stayed healthy all summer, black spot is my main issue and it did have a very small amount of BS at the end of the summer but almost all my roses do in my hot humid climate. Good luck in choosing!

Check with K&M Nursery's web site. He carries several climbers that are grafted onto fortuniana rootstock that should grow well in zone 8. I think he still carries "Fourth of July". Don Jaun is also a GREAT climber on fortuniana rootstock.

Heirloom has Fourth of July on its own root available and they are having a sale right now.

Has anyone grown either Shadow Dancer or Soaring Spirits? How do they do in heat? How is the rebloom. They both are so pretty, I can't decide between the two.
