Has anyone ever grown, "Senegal". It's a deep, dark red climber whose parentage, I believe is "Guinee". Just wondering if this rose is hardy.

One I'd never heard of, Bellarose! It's very pretty and seems to be popular as there are many gardens listed as growing it on HMF. In looking at the gardens listed there I see several in Moscow, Russia. I don't know what zone Moscow is in but I'm pretty certain it gets very cold there.

I really like the deep, dark red colour. I'm just concerned that it may not be hardy in my Zone 5 garden.

The only way to really know for sure is to try it. If possible put it in a more protected spot. With a little winter protection it will probably do fine.
