I had some heavy blue dish-washing gloves that protected. They were so thick and unpliable, quite rigid, that I gave up using. For one rose they'd be tolerable. Called something like Big Blue?

Bionic Gauntlet Gloves. I have a touch of arthritis in the hands, and they provide a nice level of compression.

I also have a pair of Women's Work gauntlets, but there is a seam inside of one of the gloves that is a little uncomfortable.

West County Gardener Rose gloves, won them in a raffle last year, they work great. They are made from some sort of synthetic leather-like material, prickles did not penetrate the fabric and also did not snag and hold onto the material. Also comfortable. I was impressed. Not cheap though.

I have a great pair from The Antique Rose Emporium. They used to be $25 and they are great protection. No more snags and cuts when pruning. I think they are real leather.
