Anyone grow this rose? It is the 2012 Canadian Artist series rose introduction. I like the color of the flowers on HMF but not much info on it

Here is a link that might be useful: Bill Reid @ HMF

You might want to contact Peter Harris with a HMF Private Message. He added the the rose to the HMF database and may have more information.

I have a friend who bought it last year. Anything specific you need to know? It's probably a little early to tell much at this point but I could ask. I'm excited about 'Campfire' that's being released from the series this year. :)

northspruce...I'm just looking for more info on how it grows, blooms, disease resistance, etc. Since your friend only planted it last year, it may take another year or 2 to answer that question well. But if he/she has any preliminary thoughts on BR, I'd be interested in hearing them. Yes, Campfire does look interesting. Thanks

Yeah, I think only the breeding program knows what it's really like... I'm pretty sure it was only released last year. The series brochure says it's a fairly small shrub but healthy and hardy. It's supposed to be an improvement on Morden Sunrise, which was much complained about for its lack of vigor.

I think the color looks great but I'm not too excited about low petal counts so I don't know if I'll ever buy it. Maybe?
