| I planted a Peggy Martin rose early last spring that had been in a large pot for several years and just wasn't doing much in the pot so I planted it in the ground early last spring and I didn't see a lot of growth last year, but it did bloom some last year. Does it take them a while to get going once planted and if so should I see more growth this year or will be several years before I see her do much growing? It did survive the harsh winter so far and didn't loose any of its long canes. |

| It typically take a rose 3 years to establish, but it depends on the variety. Some grow roots first, then top growth. The phrase is: First year sleep, second year creep, third year leap. If the canes are still green, that is a good sign! |
