| Hi all! I haven't been on this board in a while because I have found a direct correlation between how much time and spend here and how much $$ I spend at the nursery!! lol! I gave in today and here I am planning my next shopping trip!
I'm wanting to try drift roses and would like to plant a row of them along with a row of Pentas. I'm reading various things about the heighth of the roses. Will they get tall enough to plant them behind the row of pentas? I'm planning on planting all purple pentas. Which variety of drift roses would work the best with the purple? Thanks! |

| I have peach, apricot, pink and coral drift. Coral and pink are deeper colors - Nature doesnt make mistakes, any color would look good. My drift roses are new and right now, arent really tall. I think, from what I know, I would plant pentas behind the roses. |

| I have peach, coral, pink and sweet drift which is light pink. I also grow pentas but here I plant the pentas in front of mine. My pink stays short so behind them would be better. My peach, coral and sweet drifts all get at least 2 1/2 ft tall. Alameda and you are both from Texas though so she probably knows what would be best for you. You will love them though. Sweet Drift was new to me last year and it got about 4 1/2 ft wide. It was huge!! I think any color would look great too! Judy |

| Thank you for the advice! Prettypetals..if I planted the sweet drift along a stone border, would it cascade over the edge at all? You said your pink stays short, how tall is it? How tall do your pentas usually get? |

| My pink one is by a stone wall and I think it would cascade over it some but mine is in a spot that doesn't really get alot of sun and really needs moved. My pentas usually get about 18 inches or so. Maybe a tad taller but not much. It seems like the tallest my pink drift has gotten is not much over a ft tall. I wonder how tall their suppose to get? lol! Might get taller if it was in a better spot. Its a bright pink and not as many petals as the others. If you have room for peach or sweet drifts they are wonderful. I love them the most. Can't wait to see pics. Judy |

| I decided to go with the peach drift rose. I bought 4 of them and planted them along the front border of my bed. I think I'm going to go back and get a 5th one. Prettypetals, how wide did your peach drift get? The tag shows 2 feet wide. |
