| You stated in another thread that your William Baffin grows and blooms well in part shade. I have a spot that only gets about 5 hours of sun that is on a post and needs a climber. How much shade is yours in? Does it re-bloom during the season or just in the spring for you? Is there another climber that might be better? I have no color preference and it doesn't have to be fragrant. It just needs to tolerate the shade, bloom and get tall.
Thank you! |

| Captain Samuel Holland. It isn't the beast William is. Or the screaming pink that I personally never could tolerate. |

| I'm not familiar with CSH, mad, but in looking at it on HMF it seems like a pretty bright pink too. I don't mind a really bright one because that would actually show up better in the shade. Originally there was a Dublin Bay there but I killed it. It was very top heavy (because that was where all the sun was) and empty at the base so I pruned it down to the ground one fall hoping I would get some new basals. Big mistake! It didn't come back the next spring. My own stupidity. |
