Rose Hugel Pots

Just repotted my 3 container roses into hugel pots.

Hopefully this will make my roses more maintenance free this coming summer.

ooooh, bit of a permie, are you?
I am going to have a go at this in our woods (especially since the vast majority of available timber is the fairly rubbish, but fast rotting poplar). Never thought to try it in a pot though. Keep us up to date.

Never heard of a hugel pot! Gotta try that one.

I do have Tausendschon in a hugel culture ring since last summer. So far it is looking happy.

It will be interesting to see how they are doing in June, August and October and then next spring to see how the experiment turns out
