| My Poor roses. Thank Goodness they're not bands but are bareroots. They have been in the UPS system for 6 days now and won't get to my house until Monday night. Our UPS driver is a cranky lady too. By the time she gets to my house, it's been a long day and she whacks the parcels down on the porch. I like to wait out front weeding if I'm expecting something so I can get it right from the truck and she does not have to get out ( saves me from being mad at her smacking my boxes down). She's always crabby, even if she doesn't have to get out. The roses were supposed to be delivered yesterday but one of the trucks was late in Arizona so now they get to sit in Anaheim all Sunday and ride around all Monday with her.
Do I need to do anything special when I finally get them. It seems like a long time to be in transit. |

| Soak them overnight in a garbage barrel of water. Then plant them. They can stay there up to a week, as long as nothing's broken dormancy, and the water is cold. Then keep the canes moist after you plant them by either piling the mulch up around the canes (particularly if it is windy and dry where you are), which you can keep in place with a bottomless cardboard box fit to wrap around the canes, or a white plastic bag covering the canes that is secured to the ground or planting container somehow. Or if that's too much trouble, then just make sure you hit them with some water from a sprinkler daily. Canes kept moist while breaking dormancy are happiest. |

| I understand Kittymoonbeam...I got my shipment notification from Edmunds last Wednesday and FedEx isn't scheduled to deliver them until this Wedsday, which means with work they won't get in the ground until Saturday :( |

| I ordered them so long ago. Twilight Zone looks wonderful even though I think it's a goofy name for such a beautiful rose. When I got the email saying they were going to ship I was so excited and ever since then it's been a long time to wait. I stayed home all yesterday waiting and of course, things went wrong in UPS land so now its going to be Monday night. I felt like trying to get them today at the Anaheim location but they probably wouldn't hand them over. So frustrating since it's only 15 or 20 minutes away. |
