Ok here is my question. I have a knockout rose that is suppose to be fushia in color. It is now light pink! What could cause that?

"Now" as opposed to last year, or is it a new plant for you? One stem of a rose can mutate (sport) so that, for example, the flowers are a different color from the rest of the plant. Producers may accidentally propagate a new plant from that material and create a whole plant with those blooms. A light pink sport of Knock Out is already in commerce. Or producers can simply make a mistake and mislabel a plant.

Weather conditions can also have a great effect on the color of a rose. Hot, cold, sunny, cloudy, wet or dry it all effects the roses performance. Then there is the soil conditions and any and all products used, like fertilizers, that can effect the blooms. It may be light pink this time around and then be dark pink again the next round of blooms.
