Of course I know it's a little too late now but can roses be planted in fall? I was reading a website that was saying fall was one of the best time to plant them. I always plant mine in the spring but they do bloom here through November.

It isn't too late to plant this spring. I won't start planting until April and if I have to will plant through June. Last summer I did a massive transplant in mid-July, which is much later than I would have liked but that's when the bed got finished. The roses were fine. I have had no luck with fall planting myself. None of the ones I tried it with lived through that first winter so I no longer do it.

Oh I'm sorry I meant fall has already gone. Even though I'm very eager to go to the greenhouse now, I don't plant until April either. I transplanted 2 in July. They wilted at first but they came out just fine. I don't think I could get by with planting in fall here either
