I'm guessing that what would work for you is an organic lawn fertilizer -- and in your case, look for one phosphate-free, or very low. I was just looking through organic lawn fertilizers at Home Depot's web site (for actual lawn, however) and saw a few available.

I've seen some amazing rose gardens grown with horse manure and water, period. If you decide to go the lawn-fertilizer route be cautious how much you apply. A lot of roses, particularly Austins, are prone to vegetative centers if given too much nitrogen.

Isn't Bloodmeal the organic form of nitrogen? Not sure what you would use for the potassium.

There is a version of Osmacote which is high in nitrogen--like 19--and low in phosphate and potassium--like 4 or 5, if I remember correctly. It is one of the time-release fertilizers. Read the panel on the back to get the right version.

Blood meal for nitrogen and maybe banana peelings for potassium? There is also potassium phalsphate( Sp?). That's all I can think of ATM.
