Does anyone have any experience with Brite Eyes? One of the early bloomers at Chamblees that found it's way home with me. Pretty soft orange with yellow centered blooms.

I don't have it but it is a Radler rose and is supposed to have very good disease resistance. You'll have to let us know how it does for you!

RE: Brite Eyes - a pedant moans

oh dear, another rose i would have a problem buying because of the spelling. Then again, i don't go in for text speak either. My daughter informs me that our thumbs are evolving to deal with texting, getting larger, muscular and more dextrous. Well not mine, obviously - i have never sent a text in my life...and I haven't 'texted' either. But hey, what's in a name?

RE: Brite Eyes

I planted Brite Eyes about 5 years ago - it was the first rose I planted along my front fenceline. It doesnt get full sun, mostly west sun. It has been a trooper for me, doesnt get much blackspot, if any that I can recall. It has nice thick canes, not much dieback and blooms regularly. Its not a rose that I go into raptures when it blooms....but they are pretty. It is healthy and has lots of buds on it right now. It doesnt get ungainly, matter of fact I decided not to prune it this year. It doesnt climb so much as it is an upright shrub, like Aloha.
