Pleasantly Surprised by my SpringHill Order (pic)

I didn't have the highest hopes when I ordered a few roses from SpringHill, but since they were the only ones offering a couple of Weeks roses that I wanted, I though I'd give them a try. I also liked the idea that they now sell ownroot potted roses, rather than just bareroot. Plus, they always have a coupon available. So, when I opened my box...what I found where some very nice looking roses :) My only complaint is that only 2 of the roses have plant labels; for the rest, I had to peel the stickers off the protective boxes they were sent in.

Here's a pic of my new additions...

Hey, those are looking good! I know what you mean about wondering what condition they would arrive in. I've had some mixed results with Spring Hill--nothing terrible, but sometimes a less than thriving plant--but I've also received good results from them also.

Have fun planting! None of my spring orders have arrived yet.

They look great. I can't say anything bad about Spring Hill. When I lived in Central FL (a bunch of years ago) they were the very first mail order company I ordered roses from. Brandy, Mint Julip, Royal Amethyst. They came in the mail, bare root. Very healthy and ready to go into the ground. I ordered from them again several years later with the same results. Still growing Royal Amethyst.

Those are really nice! I've been leery of ordering from them too but now I won't be, thanks!

Springhill is part of the Gardens Alive megagroup that brought in the Zarys. No doubt they've turned some of the "old practices" on their heads there. That kind of thing takes a while in an established company, but I'll bet it keeps happening and that they get better over time.
