New Zealand

Last spring my local small garden retailer had a huge grouping of 5-gallon 'New Zealand' in full bloom, a rose I'd never seen or heard if before. I was impressed with the delicate shell-pink color of the flowers and their lovely scent. I wasn't in the mood to buy it, but I thought about it all summer, and in September they still had a few beat up leftovers, which I gladly took off their hands. They are now leafing out like mad, with lots of glossy, healthy-looking foliage.
I don't care for the sort of hybrid teas which feature scentless flowers in loud, gaudy colors...and for others who share those sentiments, this is definitely a rose to consider. It doesn't seem to be very well-known, but I've noticed that Rogue Valley has just added it to their selection. I'd love to hear what anyone who has grown this rose might have to say about it, especially in terms of disease-resistance and floriferousness. I'm excited about it!
