Shockwave vs Yellow Submarine

Good Morning *Easy-care Rose* lovers!!! Cutting down a very old crabapple tree opened a new sunny site bed for me & am thinking of yellow easy-care 3'x3' (if possible) bushes to plant in the now plantable inner periphery & looking for either Shockwave or Yellow Submarine ~ if yellower then OSO Easy Honey Bun is only available I wouldn't think twice!

I've enlarge the outer periphery of the site, to house 5 Shenandoah Orn'tal Grass w/ 4 Mango Salsa OSO Easy young'uns in front (in bet'w) ~ am thinking of 3 bright yellow behind the Shen' Grass! Your thhoughts please!

TIA

For your cold zone, have you considered J.P.Connell. a cold hardy, repeat blooming yellow shrub from Canada?

Oh WOW ~ just googled to check her out ~ almost thornless even!!! A bit lighter & taller than I was thinking for the inner periphery, but then again perhaps just what I should plant behind the Shenandoahs ~ should show better!!!

Thanks for suggesting Nastarana!!!

Sorry I posted this on *Getting Lazy in Old Age*:
An update on my final choice/search & finally planting 2-3gal pots found by a kindly nurseryman!!!
After reading thru the specs on each of the yellow roses (adding Forty Heroes & Yellow Brick Road) I zeroed in on the Yellow Sub & Forty Heroes ~ & asked our local/reputable nurseries/landscapers to help me search. Even Bailey Nurseries reported *sold-out* on both! On 6/19 I got a call ~ found 2 Yellow Submarines will pick up personally if I'll settle for 2 ~ a bit pricey but I went for them. So excited, got them planted the very next day! (1 had a bloom) & several ready buds on both!!!

I decided to forego on the 3rd as I dug up a 7y/o Lemon Fluff (or L-Drop?) Mini rose sulking since last year from luck of sun, under 2 KO roses & planted in the 3rd prep'd hole (fingers crossed she survives the move)!!!

Several buds unfurled but JB's found them too delicious already grrrrr!!!
FWIW!

OMG! It's beautiful and so clean looking. How wonderful that you have that "new" space for your flowers. BTW, I have two Shockwaves and two Julia Child, one Solstice, one Gold Medal and a Rio Samba. I underplanted with purple petunias and a yellow Hibiscus. It's so pretty. I did this in memory of my beautiful sister who died last year. She loved yellow roses and I can see this bed from my bedroom window. I miss her and my brother so much. I did Mr. Lincoln roses for him. That was his favorite! And life goes on..............

Thank you for viewing & nice compliments Odie96. I originally wanted SHOCKWAVE but our zone is a bit too cold for them not to be a worry! I have enough *Divas* to enslave myself (Hydrangeas) the way it is!

Wow for as challenging as Yellow Roses are to gardeners you have quite a collection!!! The nurseries here carry mostly KOs (for yellow) & Carefree Sunblaze (a bit big for my site) JC was suggested but I simply fell for the names (YS & Forty Heroes) & they fit my spec needs + am dedicating to nieces!!!

I love it when gardeners plant in memories of & in remembrances of loved ones! Such is my *Piece of Soil Under Iowa Skies* heavenly as well as earthly Angels are remembered & in the same token, an OASIS at w/c my spirit drinks!

I planted my yellow roses in memory of my mother..she was from Texas..get it? Yellow rose of Texas? I have a Julia Child Rose, a Marvelle Rose..which is striped and getting huge..then I go into my oranges. I want to plant another yellow but I have not decided which one yet.

I'm checking out *HIGH VOLTAGE* for another sunny site I intend to open ~ time permitting ~ also another sold-out category for now. Have you checked SHOCK WAVE, zyperiris? Your zone would be perfect!
