| I am a returning rose gardener from way back. What happened to this site? It used to be so busy it would take me an hour to catch up on posts and messages from just the day before. Even though I've been through my own troubles and had to put rose gardening on the back burner, I always thought I could come back and everyone would still be here
:( lol. Oh well After a divorce, I'm starting small. I have purchased from Chamblees - 2 Belinda's Dream, Molineaux, Tamora, Francis Dubreuil, and Mrs. Dudley Cross. Need a white. Thought about Dutcher but it wasnt available. I had a large rose collection in the past and I used Banner Max and Manocozeb spray program. With only a few roses I can't justify the cost of that. Any suggestions of an alternate blackspot preventative spray for less money? I live in hot, humid, southern Louisiana. |

| Bayers Advanced Garden Disease Control for Roses, Flowers, and Shrubs -- hope I got that long name right (it's real close anyway). Make sure you get this--it is just the fungus spray. Other Bayer products are usually combos that you want to avoid like the plague. The only store at which I can buy the fungus spray is Lowe's--or get it online. The other "box stores" don't seem to carry it. It is a very popular spray nowadays on this forum, so I think you will find it works well for your needs. Wish I had a white rose recommendation for you, but I don't. Sorry. Welcome back, by the way. : ) Kate |

| Yes, it costs about $15 for a quart and works very well at 2-week intervals. Get it by mail order if necessary. |

| The Bayer stuff is usually available locally some place. I've used it and it works pretty well. What type of white are you looking for? OGR, Shrub, HT, etc.? I have the polyantha Blanche Neige which is lovely and the HT Pope John Paul II that gorgeous and smell good too! |
