Flower carpet scarlet with yellow leaves

Hello to all. I recently purchased four beautiful flower carpet scarlets. They have been in the ground for less than a week and two of them have yellow leaves in the "center" of the plant. I am not a newbie to gardening yet these are my first roses. I took great care in the transplant process. I put them in a bed that was prepared and amended about six months ago. I dug a hole twice the size of the pot and further amended the backfill with some soil conditioner and peat. I loosened the root ball, planted, firmed soil, and shook some Miracle-gro shake-n-feed bloom booster around each plant. I watered them in and since have had rainy days this week to keep them watered. The leaves on the ends are still fine which gives me hope. All four have buds forming. Is the yellowing normal? What could be causing it and how do I fix it? Like I said it only seems to be happening to two of them. Now that i think about it one of them had a tad of yellowing before I planted them. Thanks in advance for your help. (I wanted to post pics but having tech issues with camera, will try again later if you need to see pics)

Assuming that the drainage is OK, the solution to this issue is to WAIT. It will take a while for the roses to get used to their new home, and start making more roots. Don't feed them until they start making new growth - they may have gotten overfed when you planted them.

Drainage very important - if you water them, does all of the water immediately disappear, or does it take a while? I drowned a rose once by digging a hole in clay soil, in a bed that I thought drained fine. What I didn't realize was that what I had dug turned into a bath tub, as it was deep, and the sides down low were smooth clay.

Again, assuming it drains, leave it alone except for water until it starts to grow - assume it is growing roots under the ground - that takes a while.

They could just be older leaves that will sometimes yellow and fall off. Or it could be from the change of environment from the place you bought them to your garden. It could be a little transplant shock. All of these things can happen and should not be alarming. Keep them watered and do not fertilize them with anything non-organic until you see some strong new growth in the tops. That will tell you that the roots have settled in and begun to grow and the plant is able to take up more nutrients.

Thanks guys for the responses. I will take your advice and wait it out. I did contact the Tesselaar company and the gentleman that responded said that he thinks I just need to water more and asked if I applied the sachet of fertilizer that came with each plant. When I told him my plants did not have such a sachet he said that their fertilizer contains a water penetrant for that very reason and he will send me some. Now I think if I apply what the company sends me I will definitely over fertilize that plants since I still have the miracle-gro sprinkled around the plants.
