Do you know what my rose is?

We have local nursery that has beautiful plants, but the majority of them don't have names on them, which drives me crazy. I was there last weekend and saw an interesting rose. When I asked the guy what it was, he said "It's an antique rose". I said "Okay, but what's the name". He told me it was called Don Creeper. I had never heard of that, so I went home and looked it up and couldn't find anything. I had heard of Ralph's Creeper, so I looked that up and I'm pretty sure that's what it is. I went back to buy it today and they had another rose they didn't have last week. We had a dejavu conversation. "What is this rose". "It's an antique rose". "Okay, but what's the name". "It's called Cardinal". The leaves were really shiny and it was so healthy looking that I decided I would take a chance and get it without reading about it first. Of course, I can't find anything on it. I'm starting here, because I have my doubts that it's really an antique rose.

Could your red rose be 'Cardinal Song'?
I think that second rose is 'Ralph's Creeper'

Here is a link that might be useful: HMF Ralph's Creeper

Just in looking at the pictures on HMF, it looks like the blooms on Cardinal Song are fuller, but it's hard to know for sure. The guy at the nursery saidit will spread and it won't get very tall, although it will get taller than Ralph's Creeper. Does anyone have Red Carpet Rose? I'm even wondering if it could be that. I have two Drift roses, which I think of being similar to Carpet Roses and the blooms on this are much bigger than the Drift or the Ralph's Creeper.

Regarding the first red rose, take a look at Simplicity. I've grown it for over 10 years and when I saw your picture I immediately thought of it. I also asked my husband what he thought and although he isn't addicted to roses like my he immediately said, "Isn't that Simplicity?"
A couple questions. Does the mystery rose have much fragrance? How big are the blooms?

carlota - I don't detect any fragrance and the blooms are 3 inches. Like I mentioned before, the leaves are shinier than most. Does that still sound like Simplicity? Does Simplicty have fragrance?

Mystery rose w/Drift rose

On second thought, I don't think this would be a red carpet rose. The leaves and blooms are much bigger than my Drift rose and I think they would be about the same size if it was a carpet rose. Here's a comparison of the two.
