Portland, Oregon rose garden

Hello everyone.

I have not been here in so long at first I could not remember my password. Okay now I'm in:) Starting to think about roses for the year and my husband and I would like to visit again the rose garden in Portland. Anyone live nearby who can tell me if the spring flush is happening yet? Or soon maybe? I hope I haven't missed it already.

Thanks very much.

Hi kate,

You definitely have not missed it. I live 1.5 hours south of Portland and do not have buds on my roses yet...just the start of new growth.

Hopefully someone else will chime in..typically it is end of May/Early June if I recall correctly (at least at my house)

Thank you so much. Oh good, I'll look forward to that then. Love that rose garden.

I would suggest calling Portland and asking them- I do remember visiting Heirloom Roses on Mothers day one year because I had a bunch of blooms, but there was nothing blooming there--

Hope you have a lovely time! I have never been to the rose gardens - sad since I live so close.
