Where to buy Romatica roses?

Does anyone know where I can buy Romatica roses online? It seems Regan's has stopped shipping bare root roses. Has anyone ordered from Smithnursery.com before? They have a lot of Romaticas but I can't find any reviews on this nursery.

I see Roses Unlimited also sell them, but I'll wait to see if I can find a source with more reasonable shipping and handling costs.

The varieties I would like to order are Yves Piaget and Liv Tyler.

Thanks,
Dar

My local Armstrong's usually always has Yves.

Liv--I got mine from Edmunds. I don't know if I would recommend it. Flowers are gorgeous, but a weak plant, very prone to Rust.

Roses Unlimited sends gorgeous healthy own root plants that will last forever. I've never failed with them.

Edmunds sold Liv Tyler last year.
Seems I recall it now goes by a different name.
Have you tried searching it in Help Me Find?

Thanks all for the help. I'll check them all out.
I hope that Armstrongs will special order it for me if they dont have it in stock here. Are Romanticas supplied through Weeks or another rose wholesaler?

I purchased Bolero and Lunar Mist from Regans last fall. Both had tags from Star Roses.

This is an interesting post to me for several reasons. I used to grow Yves for many years. I really liked it. What a show stopper in bloom. I had to remove Yves for reasons not its fault and have thought over the years about replacing it if a new spot came up. What a surprise to see how few places carry it now. I can't see Yves on its own roots (RU). Vigor was acceptable grafted, but not overwhelming. I'd give it a try however if that's all I could get, it was that good a rose for me....Also, I've never heard of Smith Nursery Company (it's in California). It's listed with Daves but with no reviews. Those prices ($10.00) are a little too good for a number 1 grade rose. I'd call them to see how they sounded before I'd order from them.....Good luck on your search...Maryl

Another vote for Roses Unlimited. Their roses are excellent and they are very honorable folk. I share your chagrin at shipping prices, but it's kinds nice to see the agony going the other direction. I have to buy so many from CA, OR & TX.

I got my Yves Piaget at the local nursery. (In Santa Barbara) I know they buy from Weeks but not sure who else

I just planted Liv (aka Comtesse de Provence) from RU this past week. Received 4 healthy-looking plants from them this season.

I found Yves Piaget at the Armstrong in Claremont. All of the Yves bushes are covered in powdery mildew; it was shocking. YET, all the other roses there were ultra healthy-looking. What a disappointment. Call me crazy, but I bought it anyways. Those buds were just too beautiful (to me). I thought it was a little funny that just as I got there, I overheard a gentleman had asking for assistance to find the Yves Piaget bushes. At least I wasn't the only crazy person at Armstrongs that day.

RE: Where to buy Romatica roses? SmithNursery

All of plants from SmithNursery.Com arrived dead. No refund. Just a promise they would send me replacemens in the Fall. Don't buy from them! Scam alert. They ship out of Tennessee where some other disreputable nurseries are located
