I am a noob. All of the rose bushes I see out and about have leaves on them, but my Rosa glauca just has leaf buds still, and they're really tiny. Is this normal?

I'd say given the weather we've had this Spring - yes, mine (many years mature) have just a few opening leaves here and there, and a little of last years hips hanging on still...not terribly attractive yet :)

mine too. don't worry, glauca and a number of other species roses such as moyesii are late off the blocks. All I can see on mine are the tiny red buds on the canes - not a leaf in sight yet.....but there will be.

Thanks guys!
