| This is some kind of yellow rose that was given to me by a relative, she said it was a Knockout rose, but I don't think there are Knockout roses like this. The flowers are huge and they just started opening yesterday here. The new sprig leaf growth earlier this year was reddish in color. The blooms probably average about 3.75 inches in diameter. Many blooms are larger sized: 4 to 4.5 inches in diameter. And some are smaller: 3 to 3.5 inches in diameter. The blooms are very fragrant.
Any help in the ID would be appreciated.

Thanks for a reply, but Sunny Knock Out is a single flower rose type. This one I have is a double flowered rose type (lots of petals packed together).

Might be "Sunsprite". I got mine from Lowe's last year. Unfortunately the color fades into pale yellow under the heat in summer.

I was going to say Carefree Sunshine (same hybridizer as Knock Out, Bill Radler), but this looks like too many petals.

treeguy IM in the same situation . I got mine from lowes last year and this thing seemed to bloom from day 1 and never quit blooming. But I lost my label and have no idea what kind I have . I had my mind made up that I didnt want to buy a knockout rose so I dont think it is one of those but it could have been mismarked. Looking at the plant today there are at least 20 bulbs starting on it at present. Here are the only shots I have from last season.

Can you describe the fragrance a little, treeguy123? Citrus, licorice, old rose, spicy? hummersteve's rose looks different, less petals, and petal shape not the same.
