Do Roses Come With Pets???

So, I received a potted rose in the mail today from Florida. I took it out of the box and began to unwrap it from the shipping material....and out pops this big toad covered in dirt! Lol...nearly scared me half to death! He's now hanging out in the birdbath since I figured he might be a little dehydrated from his journey :) I hope he likes TN because he's stuck here since I'm not shipping him back!

He's really a prince you forgot to kiss him.
Must be some ugly girls where he came from.

Once, traveling across country, we bought roses at ARE.

Traveling East from there, we were crossing into S.E. Louisiana when I looked back and saw a small frog hopping down the floor in the motorhome. Good job for HIM, the dogs were all in crates at that moment.

We stopped by a small, wet, field, and liberated our inadvertent passenger.

Toads are good for the garden. You got lucky.

I wouldn't mind if someone put me in a box and shipped me to Tenn. It's beautiful there! Too funny, I'm glad you don't have a heart condition having gone through the experience of something literally jumping out of the box!! Would have given me a good scare too!

Looks rather handsome for a toad. I'd definitely try a kiss.

I actually did email them :) I regularly buy from the owner and do cutting exchanges, so I wanted to tell her how hard it made me laugh...and send her the pick of my stow-a-way!

That would have been a shock for me too! I hope he isn't something rare or endangered that will only survive in warmer weather though.

Wow, you are lucky -- he/she is adorable!

Lol, Tammy. I am sending a great big cyber kiss to Mr. Toad. I could use a Prince Charming around here, especially so, as he obviously loves roses too. ;~)

Oh yes! A prince charming that loves roses! What could be better! And cute, too! I love his wink!

He apparently enjoys roses AND traveling! If only Mr. Toad was human..lol...he would be quite the catch!
