Blooms by Easter?

Well, went out to do some clean-up pruning (since most of the plants have 3"+ of new growth). Excellenz von Schubert (EvS) has buds with color. Now, EvS had buds with color that would have bloomed in December, but a hard freeze killed off those buds. A few other plants also have good sized flower buds. The lilac is just starting to leaf out. The late daffodils haven't finished. I did a somewhat hard prune on the HTs and a couple of minis so that I would have something for show season in June, but at this rate, I'll be in full first flush by Mother's Day. Wow!

Unless it warms up and gets sunny I don't think the couple of buds I have out there will open by next weekend. It would be way cool though if they did!

To my surprise, three roses are blooming today on April1st here in Kansas. Harison's Yellow, Robusta, and Marie Bugnet. At least three weeks earlier than I've ever seen any of them! See the link below:
