I am awaiting the surprises this year.

I have about 5 roses that took a bad hit, and are now coming back, after hard pruning. I know they are all HT's and I know I only planted beauties. For the life of me, I cannot remember who they are., and where they were planted, because after I marked them with paint stir sticks, the young bloodhound had fun with them (sticks). I was feeling so smart because they were perfect to write on, and the paint store gave them to me.

Lol, this is why I gave up on ground markers and started wiring the tags on to the base of the plants. I can't tell you how many markers got lost before I came to this new method. I found some copper tags on line and I just use a PTouch labeler to print the name and stick it on the copper tag. Then I use a nice long piece of green twist tie to secure it to one of the canes. Don't tie it tightly because you don't want to injure the cane but it's worked very well for me. I haven't lost a tag since doing this.

Good idea Seil. It was just so cheap to do. Now I know a whole lot better.
