| Anyone recommend any rose companies to order from? Are they all closed for orders right now? |

| Try Roses Unlimited. It is getting rather late for planting bareroot roses (which is what most online nurseries send you), but Roses Unlimited sends potted plants--which can be planted most any time. Mind you, I don't know if they have a cut-off order date, but they are worth trying--and happen to be one of my favorite places to order from! They send gorgeous plants. Their only limitation is that they don't accept credit cards, but call them, get great service, send them a check, and they will have those roses off to you in no time. Kate |

| I bought mine from Longagoroses. I loved the ones she sent a couple years ago so I ordered a dozen more this spring and they are looking so good I just had to order more yesterday from her. I like hers because they are grown outside and they are ready to handle the weather as she is in zone 6 as well. And super great to work with, I have changed my mind several times and she just laughs. I always see just one more I need or one more I want on her website. She also handles Kim Ruperts Lynnie and Lauren which I just ordered yesterday amoung others. And her shipping is fantastic, I think it is 3 roses for $9.50 in a box and the roses are real reasonable as well. Sorry so long but I like her roses! |

| I just had a very pleasant experience with Angel Gardens, which is located in Florida. I ordered an Easy Does It because I couldn't find it locally. Pam (the proprietor) had just run out of them but managed to find me a very nice 1 gallon bush which she shipped in a quart pot to save weight. I planted it and it's filling out nicely, with 2 or 3 new flower buds. |

| I've had good luck with Angel Gardens (Graham Thomas, Liv Tyler & Georgetown Tea), Rose Petals Nursery (Ack, too many to mention! 10+ plants including Safrano & General Schablikine) and Long Ago Roses (Louis XIV & Grandmother's Hat, which I just got today!). AG and RPN all shipped in gallons and LAR shipped as bands. I would definitely shop with all three again. |

| It would be helpful to know in what part of the country you live. If you're west of the Rockies Chamblees, Vintage Gardens and Rogue Valley Roses are very good sources. Heirloom Roses is also popular with many people. |
|
| Hortico is still probably shipping and if your rose goes belly-up they, at least did for me, replace it if you contact them soon enough. |
|
| Roses Unlimited, Vintage Gardens and Rogue Valley Roses are my favorites. I live near NYC. They all ship the roses to my house within 2 days of the shipment being sent. |
|
| Love Heirloom roses, own root plants have done great in my gardens and have endless selection. |
|
| For me, Edmunds is still the first choice, even if the The Edmunds family sold out to Jung Seed. (I guess they sold to Weeks, first, the Jung picked up Weeks.) My second choice has always been S&W Greenhouse. They get prime, #1 grade bare roots from Weeks (mainly), and then pot them if any are left over from the bare root sales. (If Weeks is truly out of business, I'm not sure where the source is now, but seems like Weeks still maintains a website and they have a new 2012 catalog.) |

| The ones I have ordered from are Rose Petals Nursery and Angel Gardens but there are Vintage Gardens, Rogue Valley Roses, Hartwood Roses, http://www.hartwoodroses.com/Roses/forsale.php http://www.angelgardens.com/ http://rosepetalsnursery.com/browse-roses.php?rose-category=99 http://www.roguevalleyroses.com/ http://vintagegardens.com/rose_index.aspx There is more out there but I look at those constantly :) |

| I must say I like Heirloom roses. Great to wok with. Pembroke |

| Roses that I have been getting are from Long ago roses from here in NC. Own root, healthy plants, excellent service, and a friendly person to deal with. I have heard a lot of good things about Roses unlimited and I see a few on their site I am longing for. Tammy |

| Got roses from Heirloom and Roses Unlimited this year as potted plants, and got some very nice plants. Too late for bare roots, but my usual go-tos include David Austin roses and Pickering. |
