| When I planted this, somebody remarked "Good old ballin' August Renior" and I thought, oh, I always get some balling due to the heat around here, how bad can it be? OMG. I haven't had a single flower from this plant that hasn't balled straight up. Heart-breaking. Whoever said it, you were right. This isn't a rose in California. I don't know what it is, but it's not a rose. It's a dead-petal factory. |

| 'Fredric Mistral', 'Bishops Castle' or 'Scepter'd Isle' makes a nice replacement. I was likely one of the chorus. Honestly, I would have much preferred to be 100% wrong and that it was fabulous for you. |
