Cecil Brunner

A relative gave me cuttings of a Cecil Brunner and a no-name rose.

They are about to be moved outside, carefully, as they are growing well indoors for some time now.

However, I have no idea which is which.

I looked on the web for photos of Cecil Brunner, but I just get photos of flowers.

Is there a way to tell a Cecil Brunner rose by just its leaves and stalk?

Of the two roses that I have, one has prominent thorns every inch and large leaves. The other has smaller leaves and far fewer thorns.

I could take a couple photos and send them over email, if someone could help me.

Thanks so much.

best,
Paul

Cecile Brunner is nearly thornless and leaves are on the small side.

Thank you so much.

That describes one of them to a tee.

You're welcome! I grow Cecile Brunner and it brings back memories of my childhood when I made tiny bouquets of the buds from my grandmother's plant.

When your other mystery rose blooms, if you could post a photo maybe someone here will be able to name it.
